Glendale House, Goathland
Glendale House was built in 1875 by Edward Fuller Sewell, an uncle of Anna Sewell, the author of the novel "Black Beauty". It is a Victorian stone built residence occupying a prime position in the centre of the picturesque village of Goathland, high on the North Yorkshire Moors. The House overlooks the common, where sheep graze right outside the garden gate, and during the day, the steam trains of the North Yorkshire Moors Railway can be heard as they pull into Goathland station, about a mile away. The large conservatory dining room, opens out on to the garden, and overlooks the fish pond and waterfall, and the house offers outstanding moor land views from every aspect. The house is more recently famous as Dr Ferrenby's surgery in the Yorkshire TV series, "Heartbeat".

Levisham Station Group
Since the formation of the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, Levisham Station Group have worked to recreate the station and its environs in the condition typical of a small North Eastern Railway station circa 1912. At about this time the North Eastern Railway issued a series of standards books which gave specifications for items from fences to fireguards. Early photographs, recovered original samples and research have allowed reproductions to be found or manufactured to recreate the 1912 period for this country station.
